Pet Policy

We’re happy to welcome well-behaved dogs at Silver Lake Lodge — we know that for many families, a trip up north isn’t complete without their four-legged companion. To keep the lodge comfortable and enjoyable for everyone (two-legged and four-legged alike), please review our pet policy before your stay.

  • By bringing a pet to Silver Lake Lodge, you agree to the following:

    • Guests are fully responsible for their pets at all times while on the property. Please keep pets leashed outdoors, as there may be other guests, children, and dogs on the grounds.

    • Pets must be house-trained. Any accidents inside the lodge must be cleaned immediately.

    • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets outdoors — please bring and use waste bags.

    • We kindly ask that pets stay off the furniture. If your pet is used to lounging on couches or chairs, please bring your own furniture covers.

    • Pets are not allowed on beds at any time.

    • If your pet sheds, please vacuum or sweep up excess hair during your stay using the cleaning tools provided.

    • Please brush pets outdoors rather than inside the lodge.

    • In summer months, please dry your pet off after swimming before allowing them back inside the lodge.

    • Before departure, guests are required to sweep and vacuum the lodge using the provided tools to remove pet hair, dirt, and debris.

    • If any damage occurs as a result of your pet, please notify us right away. Guests are responsible for the cost of repairs or extra cleaning related to pet damage.

    • If a pet is left alone in the lodge and is barking continuously or disturbing other guests, we will reach out to you to resolve the situation.

    • We strongly recommend crating pets when left alone inside the lodge. We do have larger crates available to borrow if needed — just let us know.

    • Silver Lake Lodge and the property owners assume no responsibility for illness, injury, or accidents involving pets or humans while on the premises.

We love welcoming responsible pet owners and their furry friends, and we truly appreciate your help in keeping Silver Lake Lodge clean, safe, and peaceful for everyone.

If you have any questions at all about our pet policy or whether your pet is a good fit for your stay, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re always happy to help.
